About the Role

  • provide generalist HR and IR advice on a range of people issues in line with People & Culture policies, practices and relevant legislation.
  • undertake workplace investigations and provide recommendations to leadership teams based on findings including conducting formal performance management meetings.
  • manage non-work-related injury cases.
  • be familiar with Australia's Employment law and have an understanding of EBA interpretations.
  • assist and guide performance management by supporting and coaching leaders.
  • ensure all documentation is legally compliant and best practise.
  • establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders both within the client group and more broadly across the business.
  • be involved in various projects within the People and Culture function, including recognition and engagement activities.
  • union and EA negotiation experience would be advantageous.

What you'll bring

  • prior experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing / FMCG environment
  • HR tertiary qualification and extensive knowledge of human resources management issues and relevant legislation, regulations, and policies
  • demonstrated experience in partnering with business/leadership teams to design, develop and implement HR strategies to meet business objectives.
  • generalist HR experience including managing non-work-related injuries, IME processes, leadership coaching and learning and development.
  • in-depth knowledge of employment law
  • excellent oral and written communication skills and client focus
  • ability to deal effectively with a broad range of people at all levels within the business.
  • exemplary interpersonal skills with a reputation for being empathetic and a positive and uplifting role model.
  • capacity to be adaptable, plan, organise and manage time effectively.
  • energetic, have strong communication skills and is self-driven.
