Casual Process Workers - ongoing long term work

• Weekly roster - work every week, no more 'on call' arrangements

Various shifts are available including 10.30am, 12pm and 2pm. (No early morning or night shifts available at this time).  Availability Monday to Thursday, four days per week is required for these roles. 
 
About the Role
 
You will be working in a temperature-controlled environment with a friendly team of people.  You will need good hand eye coordination and be happy working at a fast pace while also being able to ensure quality work.
Some of the tasks involve:

• Checking and packing products according to company requirements
• Selecting products according to customer and section requirements
• Operating machinery including ensuring that weights and quality standards of products are being achieved
• Handling food products appropriately and within strict hygiene standards
• Cutting meat & vegetable ingredients to specification for processing, measuring, mixing and cooking.
• Cleaning of work areas, machinery and equipment
• Lift/push/pull up to 15kg
• Working in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines
• Working quickly at conveyor belts
• Working in chilled and freezer conditions as required

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have the ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment
• Able to work in a cold environment set to 4 degrees, possibility of freezer work
• The ability to work within strict quality standards guidelines
• Have a great eye for detail
• Be an excellent team member with an energetic and flexible approach
• Be reliable and punctual
• Be physically fit and capable of working in a cold environment
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Have an understanding of OHS requirements 
• Available to work Monday to Friday if required

Successful applicants will be team players who take pride in producing outstanding products and have excellent hand eye co-ordination. Some heavy lifting and work in a cold environment will be required. Whilst not essential previous experience in a FMCG environment working as a process worker would be advantageous.
